Virtual Chess Clock is a simple software that allows you to turn your laptop
into a chess clock. It has be designed to be easy and convenient to use: you
can have a look to the feature page
to get more details about what Virtual Chess Clock can do.
Of course, although Virtual Chess Clock has initially been designed for the
chess game, it can also be used to time other two-player board games, such as
backgammon, go or checkers.
Virtual Chess Clock is free and OS independent: it works both on Linux and on
Windows.

the players on the clock.

Byo-yomi time control mode, which is used in particular by go players, is now
available with VCC 1.3. Additionally, keyboard layout models for Lithuanian,
Russian and Ukrainian keyboards are now provided with VCC.
Release 1.2: improved display options

This version adds various visualization options, especially for Bronstein
mode, that should be more suited to backgammon players. Moreover, keyboard
layout models are now available for Turkish, Czech and Slovak keyboards.

available for Irish, Spanish and Mexican keyboards; a few small bugs get

Patch labelled 1.0.1 available

This patch solves a few bugs that used to occur on Windows (especially when
resetting the clock through the keyboard shortcut).
Release 1.0: keyboard configuration available

The version 1.0 of Virtual Chess Clock is now available. This new version
allows the user to tune the active areas on the keyboard (i.e. the keys that
the players can use to engage the clock).
Release 0.999 available
2010-10-24
The version 0.999 of Virtual Chess Clock is now available. With this new
version, the latest time control used is recorded when VCC is closed, so
that it can be automatically reloaded at the following start of the program.
Release 0.99: internationalization available
2010-10-10
A new version of Virtual Chess Clock is now available. This version supports
internationalization: the language of the application is automatically tuned
to try to fit the user's language. Currently, Virtual Chess Clock supports
both English and French.

Virtual Chess Clock's website is now available in French. The language can
be changed by clicking on the flags in the top right hand corner of the page.
